Please find for sale 25+ seeds for the beautiful Fuchsia Excorticata, better known as New Zealand Tree Wisteria or Kōtukutuku in Maori. This plant is an oddball in its native New Zealand - on of their few decidous shrubs. It also happens to be the largest Fuchsia in the world albeit in the UK they will only grow to the size of large shrubs or small trees. The seed heads/fruits are extremely popular with birds and other wildlife.

Germination
- Sow indoors in Spring or Summer
- Sprinkle seeds onto a well draining compost mix in seed tray
- Tees are very small so compost should mix should ideally be Coir or a mix of sand, perlite or vermiculite
- Do not cover seeds as light required for germination
- Mist the surface with water (ideally rainwater that has been boiled then cooled)
- Place is a bright spot out of direct sunlight
- Keep at 20-25 degrees using a heat mat
- Loosely cover seed tray with a clear bag with a few air holes to maintain humidity
- Germination usually around 3-4 weeks
- Seedlings are very small and grow slowly initially so take care when watering
TOP TIP! Don't use all your seeds in the same tray just in case rot sets in.
