Toad Lilies are perfect way to bring colour to those hard-to-fill shady spots! Very much a low maintenence plant, they also a magnet for bees butterflies and other pollenators.

Seed Germination
- Sow into a cold frame in autumn or indoors at any time.
- Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost.
- Do not cover seed, just gently tamp to get a cood contact with the soil as light is needed for germination.
- Germination will occur in Spring as the weather warms.
Alternatively, sow indoors at any time of year as follows:
- Cold stratify for 4-6 weeks at 4°C - mix the seeds with some damp compost and put in a grip seal bag and keep in fridge for 4-6 weeks.
- After cold stratification, sow as per above and keep in a warm bright spot
- Mist compost reguarly
- Germination takes 4-6 weeks
- Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to individual pots and grow on.
- Harden off and plant out after danger of frost has passed
