Please find for sale 30 wooden dowels / plugs that have been impregnated with fresh Shiitake mushroom spawn (mycelium).

Shiitake mushrooms have a rich, buttery, meaty flavor quite unlike thee flavors of other mushroom varieties. When dried, the shiitake's flavors concentrate to a smoky richness.

Aside from logs, these mushrooms can be grown on all hardwoods and a variety of mediums - I have had moderate success simply growing them in plastic bags of straw.


Included for FREE is a small packet of wax granules which is used to seal the dowels into the logs.
