Please find for sale 100+ Erigeron Karvinskianus RHS Gold Medal winning cultivar "Profusion".

Erigeron is a lovely, small summer flowering herbaceous perennial. It is reliable, easy to grow, ideal for front of the border, rockeries, crevices, and it flowers for a long time with multiple flowers. It will self-seed readily and is great for filling in gaps and proving interest to otherwise bare areas - such as in paving stones etc. Once established, it will give pleasure year-on-year.

Why grow this plant?

  • Prolonged Blooming: Produces masses of dainty, daisy-like flowers that emerge white and age to pink. It blooms continuously from late spring right through to autumn
  • Naturalises in Awkward Spots: Thrives in dry, poor soil. It naturally self-seeds in nooks, crannies, stone walls, and between paving slabs, softening hard edges and adding a whimsical feel.
  • Low Maintenance: Highly drought-tolerant once established, largely pest and disease-free, and naturally shunned by slugs.
  • Wildlife-Friendly: Recognized as an excellent plant for pollenators, providing nectar for bees and butterflies.
  • Versatile Use: Perfect for ground cover, border edges, rockeries, containers, and hanging baskets

Sowing Guide for Optimum Germination

Sow indoors from Feb-July
Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost.
Propagate or place somewhere warm, ideal temp. 15-20°C.
Do not exclude light - light required for germination but best kept out of direct sunlight
Germination takes 14-30 days (can be erratic naturally with the first seedling appear quickly followed by stragglers)
When large enough to handle transplant seedlings to 9cm pots.
Harden off and plant out once plants are 2-3cm tall with 25cm spacing
Low maintenance but keep watered in dry weather until fully established.
