Please find for sale 20+ Rodgersia Pinnata seeds - also known as Featherleaf. This plant is something of a rarity for gardeners - an attractive flowering perrenial that is happy in those hard to fill shady and damp spots. I only discovered this plant recently  - saw one in a really shady spot under some trees and had to use an app to work out what it was!

Seed Germination
  • For optimal germination rates a period of cold stratification is of benefit
  • Mix the seeds with some damp compost
  • Pit mix in a zip lock bag and keep in fridge for 6-8 weeks
  • After the cold stratification sow the seeds on the surface of a moist, well-draining, peat-free compost
  • Tamp (press) the seeds into the compost ensure a good contact
  • Cover very thinly with fine grit 
  • Keep the seeds in bright but not direct light at a temperature of 20-22°C using a heat mat as required
  • Keep moist 
  • Germination can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks
