Please find for sale 30+ fresh Crithmum Maritimum seeds, better known as Rock Samphire. Beloved by top chefs, Samphire goes perfectly on fresh bread, served with fish, or even mixed in with pasta or rice. Samphire grows wild in rock, coastal regions and as such is fairly salt tolerant.

Samphire is actually fairly easy to grow as long as you give it a light, sandy soil or a well-drained soil and a sunny position. Samphire can be planted out once the danger of frosts is past. It can also be grown in pots on the patio or on a window sill.

Seed Germination

• Sow indoors or in greenhouse in spring or autumn. 
• Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost. 
• Lightly cover the seed with a few mm of compost. 
• After sowing water from the base only. 
• Place in a cold frame or unheated greenhouse. 
• Keep moist - best to water from the base. 
• Germination takes approx 7-10 days approx. 
• Pot seedlings to individual pots when large enough to handle
• Harden off and plant out after danger of frost has passed. 
• Autumn sown plants should be planted out the following spring.
