• Sow in Spring or Autumn as the these seeds germinate best with warm days and colder nights
• Soak seeds in water for 24 hours. 
• Sow in a tray of well drained  compost mix  - ideally 50% vermiculite or perlite to improve drainage.  
• Cover the seeds with about 1cm of sand. 
• Germination takes 3-4 weeks at around 15-20°C, and up to several months in cooler conditions.  
• Allow temperature drop naturally at night.  
• Transplant young seedlings into a well nutrient-poor compost (with added grit) avoiding root disturbance.  
• Grow on for a year before planting in the final position.
