Please find for sale 20+ Pachypodium Geayi seeds. This unusual spiny palm is also known as Elephant's Foot and Madagascar Palm. Rather like a Baobab, this plant has a Pachycauls trunk - it looks swollen and bloated. MAkes for a really interesting & structural house plant for a sunny spot.

INSTRUCTIONS - I am reducing paper waste by no longer sending paper instructions to customers. All the information required is detailed below so bookmark this page.


Sowing Guide for Optimum Germination

  • Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours
  • Prepare a well draining compost mix or use shop bought cactus compost
  • Disinfect a microwaveable take away container with a clear lid.
  • Make some holes in the bottom of the container for drainage.
  • Place compost mix in the container to about 2/3rds full and tamp it down so it is level.
  • Place seeds on top of compost - gently press into surface a little to ensure a contact.
  • Mist seeds with water until there are drops falling out of the drainage holes.
  • Cover with lid and place in a very warm and sunny spot.
  • Use heat mat if temperatures not 20c+ day and night 
  • UV lights can be used if sun levels low
  • Remove lid for a few hours each day after germination to prevent mould growth and give fresh air to seedlings 
  • Germination can be erratic - from 3 weeks to a few months.
