Please find for sale an unique mix of 15+ Pachyphytum seeds from 5 different and striking cultivars:

Pachyphytum Werdermannii
Pachyphytum Viride
Pachyphytum Rzedowskii
Pachyphytum Fittkauii
Pachyphytum Brachetii

These rare (and alas rather expensive) seeds  are mixed with a little sharp sand for optimal handling and have high germination rates in the right conditions. Mathematically you are odds on to get at least one of each cultivar!

Moonstones / Pachyphytum are the ultimate low maintenance house plant. With their compant size of up to about 6 inches tall, their leaves, a kaleidoscope of colours, that can shift from green to crimson or even a bluish tint, depending on the cultivar and the sunlight exposure.

Seed Germination

Theese are rare and expensive seeds so please dont rush into sowing. Store in a cool place or in a sealed container in the fridge until you are ready. There are lots of useful videos out there on techniques to germinate these
  • Soak seeds in room temperature water for about 2 days
  • Use regular compost but sieve it to remove lumps
  • Microwave the soil for a few minutes to sterilise it then allow to cool
  • Wash and sterilse your seed tray/pot
  • Place compost in seed tray/pot and lightly firm
  • Water with a mixture of water and fungicide to mix is moist but not soaking
  • Place seeds on surface of compost and gently firm in to ensure good contact
  • Cover with clingfilm or a clear bag - near 100% humidity required. 
  • Keep at room termperature - 17 to 19cC is ideal, more than 20C can cause rot issues
  • Keep in bright spot but out of direct sunlight
  • Do not remove bag until germination
  • Germination takes 3-4 weeks at ideal conditions.
  • After germination, slowly remove bag over a few weeks.
