Growing Guide

In summary, sow and grow in a similar way and conditions to tomatoes.

  • Use trays/pots with general purpose compost
  • Sow seeds 10mm deep.
  • Keep soil moist but not waterlogged
  • Keep warm (23-29C) using a heat mat as required
  • Do not allow to dry out
  • Germination takes about 2 weeks
  • Pot on as required once large enough to handle
  • Plant out in tubs/grow bags in greenhouse / patio once warm enough and risk of frost long gone
  • Plant out at approx same time you plant out your tomatoes
