Please find for sale 1000+ fresh Portulaca Grandiflora Extra Double Mix seeds, better known as Moss Rose, Mexican Rose or Purslane. Possible the easiest and most versatile of all flowering annuals it can be used to bring colour to any sunny spot and is beloved by social media stars who twist and tie the stems to for interesting bonsai specimens.

Moss rose is very low maintenance, vibrant, and produces continuous blooms, especially in sunny and dry spots. This plant is drought-tolerant and perfect for ground cover, rock gardens, containers, and borders, providing a lush, colourful display with very little effort.

Please note that these seeds are very small so they are mixed with some fine sand to make sowing much easier.

Germination Guide 
  • Sow indoors around 6 weeks before expected last frost date
  • Sow in surface of a sandy free draining seed compost mix
  • Do not cover as light required for germination
  • Mist with water
  • Keep comost damp but not soggy misting as required.
  • Keep at around 20C
  • Germination takes 7-14 days
  • Keep in a bright spot
  • Water seedlings well once top inch of compost dry
  • Plant out in sunny spots once all risk of frost has passed.

Alternatively, seeds can be sown direct in Spring and are great for nooks and crannies such as the gaps been paving stones!
