After 7 years of searching we have finally found small supply of fresh Monstera seeds! 

Please find for sale 7 Monstera Deliciosa, better know to many of us in the UK as the Swiss Cheese plant. Monstera's are in demand for their large, glossy, and distinctive perforated leaves that add a contemporary, jungly aesthetic to any space. It is also valued as a relatively low-maintenance houseplant, a fast-growing statement plant, and an air purifier that helps improve indoor air quality.

Germination Guide

  • These are expensive and rare seeds so please take your time!
  • Prepare a light, fertiliser free compost mix - ideally  50:50 mix of coco coir & vermiculite
  • Soak seeds overnight in a small bowl of water with a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide if you have it - this is optional but H2O2 helps soften the seed coat & also kills any fungus or bacteria on the seed coat
  • Fill pots with the compost mix, moist but not wet
  • Keeping the soil warm helps speed up germination (like 75-80F).
  • Sow seeds individually around 3cm deep and cover
  • Place pots on a heated tray or reptile heat mat (very cheap) to maintain temperature of 24-28c
  • Lightly cover the pots but leave some air holes for ventilation
  • Ensure does not dry out 
  • Germination can take 7 to 21 days depending on conditions
  • Once sprouted, remove any cover
  • Once plants have several true leaves a quarter strength liquid feed can be added
  • Basic care for monstera is just bright, indirect light & water when dry. 
  • Don't use heavy potting soil that holds a lot of water, they like chunky well drained potting soil.
