Please find for sale 10 organic Lablab Purpureus beans, better known as Hyacinth Bean, Egyptian Kidney Beans, Dolichos, Jack Beans or just plain Lablab. Our seeds have been specially imported from probably India's Premier wholesaler of organic seeds and have been tested for germination.

This plant germinates and grows very fast - which is a good thing as they need a pretty long growing season to crop well - so here in the UK best started indoors at around the same time as runner and french beans are sown and then only planted out once risk of frost has passed and soil has some warmth to it.

Germination Guide
Soak seeds in water for a day
So sow two or three seeds per 9cm pot in a general purposecompost in mid April. 
Keep at 18c to 22c
Germination takes 10-14 days
Keep seedlings in a warm light place and pot on as they grow. 
Plant in rich fertile soil in a warm, sunny sheltered spot once all risk of frost has passed.
