Why Grow Kautias?
- Pollen and nectar magnet: The flowers continuously draw in bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects.
- Long flowering season: Blooms emerge on slender, wiry stems starting in July and last right through to September or later till the first hard frost
- Great for cutting: The tall, branching stems look striking in floral vases and hold up well.
- Tough and resilient: It thrives in poor, dry, or well-drained alkaline soils where many other border plants struggle.
- Cottage-garden aesthetic: The airy, see-through growth habit blends smoothly into naturalistic meadows, gravel setups, and informal borders.
