Please find for sale 15+ freshly imported and rather rare Lapidaria Margaretae seeds, better known as Karoo Rose. From a visual perspective, this species is more attractive to growers because this lithop has 2-4 sets of leaves rather than just one - so they genuinely resemble a small pile of colourful stones!

These are fascinating plants are brilliant plants to grow in even the most space-restricted flats - all you need is a sunny window sill to get all year round interest without the need to worry about going away and leaving it for  a few weeks,

UK Cultivation

Lithops like the Karoo Rose are native to dry parts of Southern Africa where they experience some summer rains and heat but dry winters. Here in the UK they are best grown in sunny window sills with watering once a week during mid summer with watering stopping completely from October through to May 

Seed Germination Guide 

• Prepare a seed tray or individual pots with a moist, sandy, free-draining compost. Gently firm down and level the surface. Scatter the Lithops seeds over the surface. Tamp the seeds into the compost mix but do not cover
• Cover the tray with a plastic cover or bag with air holes open to allow some air circulation
• Keep at 20c -  heat mat is ideal. Keep out of direct sunlight
• Mist the compost with water as required to ensure it does not dry out. 
• Seedlings will develop within a few weeks. Remove the plastic bag and water when the compost becomes dry, but spray the surface with water regularly, to keep it moist.
• Provide seedlings with some air during their first year
• Prick out and pot on after first year
