Please find for sale 10+ Styphnolobium Japonicum seeds better known as the Japanese Pagoda Tree. Very popular in China and Japan, this is one of my favourite trees - late flowering, has delicate pinnate leaves similar to Ash and goes golden yellow in Autumn. This beautiful tree is rightly increasing in popularity in the UK - small plants are £15 each online and £20+ in garden centres!
It is an easy to grow tree which will be happy in most garden situations with moderately fertile soil and a warm sunny site.

Seed Germination
These seeds have a very hard, water-proof coat and as such require pre-treatment for successful germination
Best way is to use the "hot water" method to create tiny cracks in the seed coat allowing moisture to penetrate.
Put the seeds in a mug than pour hot (but not boiling - around 70-80c) water over them and leave them to soak for a day.
Seeds that have been successfully pre-treated will have swollen to several times their previous size.
Remove all swollen seeds and sow these in trays/pots of moist compost at a depth of around 1cm
Repeat hot water treatment making the water a little hotter each time.
Germinates takes 10-20 days at 15-20°c.
Plant trees out into their permanent positions after 1 or 2 years growth.
