Once established, Japanese Anemones bring a mass of colour every year, with he flowers attracting pollenators, so are ideal for wildlife-friendly gardens. They are also resistant to slugs & snails and as they flower late in the season, they give a useful boost to any flagging borders.

Germination Guide

• Sow in Autumn or Winter for overwintering in a cold frame or greenhouse. 
• Sow 1mm deep into moist well-draining seed compost 
• Place in the greenhouse or cold frame
• Seeds will germinate as the weather warms in spring. 
• Pot on seedlings once large enough to handle 
• Grow on in the greenhouse or with protection for the first season. 
• Plant out into final positions the following spring
