Helenium seeds | Autumn Gold | 50+ seeds | Border or Containers

Please find for sale 50+ Helenium seeds variety "Autumn Gold" - a very easy to grow plant that produces a mass of flowers from June to September. Particularly loves  dry conditions so is great for containers, the border of the kinds of dry spots where poppies also thrive. This cultivar has bright golden yellow petals that are slightly down turned and is a free flowering plant with gold cone centre acts as the perfect landing pad for the thousands of bees that will come to pay homage to Helen of Troy (after which Helenium is named). It's a mystery why more people don't grow this from seed when the plants are so expensive at garden centres! I also sell lovely red variety "Autumn Shades" - I think the two would work well together.

Heleniums will self-seed providing repeat and free performances year on year.

Germination Guide 
Sow in UK from March to July. 
Sow on the surface of a moist sieved compost mix - ideally 50% seed compost 50% vermiculite 
Mist with water but do not cover as these seeds need light to germinate
Germination takes 2-3 weeks at 18°C, but may be erratic. 
Prick out and pot on once large enough to handle
Initial growth can be quite slow then suddenly becomes very quick  - presumably when the day length hits a certain point.
