Golden Bamboo (Bambusa Arundinacea) | 20+ seeds | Fast Growing

Listing is for 20+ fresh Golden Bamboo seeds (Bambusa Arundinacea). This is a fast-growing and attractive bamboo that can be used as a large ornamental in the garden, to provide screening or as well use it to provide an everlasting supply of large bean poles which are expensive to buy in the shops!. Young canes are a light brown color and are covered with a soft fuzzy surface. Bamboo seeds are relatively rare as flowers and hence seeds are very rarely produced - sometimes ever 20+ years.

Also looks great in pots which can be moved around to create structure, dappled shade on the patio etc.
Bamboo is very easy to grow and given reasonable conditions will establish itself very quickly, growing very fast.

Germination Instructions

• Soak the seeds in tap water for 24 hours 
• Viable seeds will usually sink to the bottom of the water. "floaters" can be discarded.
• Prepare a seeds tray with a good compost mix at room temperature - ideally 50/50 compost and vermiculite. 
• Place the seeds on top of the compost around about 10cm apart. 
• Cover the seeds with a fine layer of around 2cm of compost, 
• Place the tray in a warm place, out of direct sunlight. 
• Seeds usually take 3-5 weeks to germinate
• Pot on as required.
