Please find for sale 50+ Egyptian Senna seeds (Senna Alexandrina). Senna in bloom is stunning with the flowers being very popular with bumblebees and bees. Its foliage is also very attractive. Senna gets its name from an Arabic word relating to the herbal use Senna has been put to for millennia  - as a cathartic and a laxative.

Sowing Guide

• Sow indoors 
• Soak seeds in a cup of hot water then leave in the water for for 8 hours
• Prepare tray of free-draning compost mix
• Compost should be moist but  not wet
• Sow seeds on surface and gently press to get good contact.
• Cover with 5mm approx of sieved compost.
• Keep at 20-24c using a heat mat as required
• Germination takes 15-20 days
• Plant out once 5" + tall and all risk of frost has passed
