Sowing Guide

Timing: Start seeds indoors in February or March.

Method: Sow thinly on the surface of moist, seed-starting compost. Do not cover, or cover very lightly, as seeds need light to germinate.

Conditions: Use a heated propagator or a sunny, warm windowsill. Keep the temperature around 18-20C

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water from the bottom to avoid dislodging seeds.

Germination: Seedlings appear in 2-3 weeks. 

Potting On: Once seedlings are 10-15cm tall, pot them into 10-12cm pots filled with potting mix.

Outdoor Transfer: Move to a sunny, sheltered spot outdoors once all risk of frost has passed (early summer).
