Please find for sale 2000+ organic Chia seeds for sowing as microgreens. Chia microgreens are very easy to grow and even better to eat!

Chia sprouts are incredibly rich in nutrients  - they have 3 times the amount of calcium in cow’s milk. They are also a great source of protein, fiber, and iron and very high levels of omega 3 fatty acids

Growing Guide

  • Prepare a container with drainage holes  - eg supermarket grape/fruit punnets
  • Line the bottom of the container with a layer or two or (bleach-free) kitchen roll or similar
  • DO NOT pre-soak the seeds - they quickly absorb water
  • Soak the kitchen roll in the container with water and pour off any excess
  • Scatter the seeds over the kitchen roll  and gently press them down to get a good contact
  • Cover the seeds and the kitchen roll with a with a layer of wet newspaper
  • Place the container in a warm place 16-23c
  • Water once per day on top of the newspaper 
  • After 3-7 days the sprouts will begin pushing up the newspaper - remove the newspaper
  • Move container to bright windowsill or use UV lights
  • Once exposed to light, the Chia sprouts will "green up"
  • Harvest with scissors when sprouts are 4-8cms
