Please find for sale a healthy Cape Gooseberry plant in a 9cm pot.  Also known Inca Berry, Peruvian Groundcherry and Goldenberry. These plants are 15-22cm and grow very quickly.

Aside from being just about the easiest berries to grow, the fruits are very low in Cholesterol and a good source of Thiamin, Iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Niacin. If you are ever at posh restaurant and you see a large  and tasty orange berry is a papery wrapper adorning your desert, it will a Cape Gooseberry!

I have been growing these myself for several years - they are easily propagated.  I keep them outside in the garden during summer and got a really good crop of berries this year despite a rather poor summer. I bring them into the greenhouse over winter where they continue to grow and flower prolifically during winter - I pinch out these flowers. We love the fruits cut in half and put on some ice cream or sorbet.
