Please find for sale a fresh seed mix of Blue Cornflowers (Centaurea Cyanus) and Red Poppy (Papaver Rhoeas) in various quantities. These two are often mixed as they work so well together despite their colours being so differentod - the Ronnie Barker & Ronnie Corbett of wildflowers!

Germination and Planting Guide

The best times to sow a wildflower meadow in the UK are autumn (from August to October) and early spring (from March to April).

  • Prepare the area where the seeds are to be sown
  • Ideally chose a soil that is not too rich (if there are plants growing like nettles the soil is too fertile)
  • Remove weeks and rake to a fine tilth
  • Broadcast the seed mix over the prepared area
  • Rake in lightly
  • Water the area using a fine nozzle
  • If weather dry for a few days, water the area as required
  • Once established, the flowers will self seed and reappear each year
