Please find for sale 50+ Callicarpa Americana seeds, berry known as American Beautyberry. Increasingly popular in the UK, Beautyberry is grown for its stunning autumn color from vibrant purple berries, excellent wildlife support (food for birds, pollinators), natural insect-repelling properties from its leaves, and low-maintenance, adaptable nature, thriving in various soils and sun conditions. It's a fantastic native shrub for naturalized areas, borders, and winter interest in gardens
Key Reasons to Grow American Beautyberry:
Stunning Fall & Winter Interest: Produces showy, bright purple berries in dense clusters along stems that persist after leaves drop, providing color and food late in the season.
Wildlife Magnet: Flowers attract bees and butterflies; berries feed over 40 species of birds (robins, cardinals) and small mammals (deer, foxes, opossums) into winter.
Natural Insect Repellent: Crushed leaves contain compounds (callicarpenal) that naturally repel mosquitoes and biting flies, historically used by placing them on animals or skin.
Easy to Grow & Adaptable: Tolerates various soils (clay, wet, well-drained) and light conditions (full sun to part shade), requiring little care.
Low Maintenance: Easy to shape with pruning in late winter or spring, and spreads naturally through bird-dispersed seeds, creating attractive colonies.
Edible Berries (with care): Berries can be used to make jams, jellies, or syrups, offering a unique, slightly sweet flavor when cooked.

Germination Guide
Beautyberries are native to areas that get very cold winters require for optimum germination rates a period of “cold stratification” to break the natural dormancy in the seed. In nature, this stops the seed germinating in Autumn and being killed by winter frosts.
Cold Stratification (Crucial Step): Mix seeds with damp sand, peat, or vermiculite in a sealed bag and refrigerate (not freeze) for 60-90 days to mimic winter conditions.
Soak Seeds: After stratification, soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours.
Sow Seeds: Plant seeds about 1/16 inch deep in small pots with well-draining potting mix or sow directly outdoors in late winter/early spring.
Warmth & Moisture: Keep the soil consistently moist (not soggy) and place pots in a warm spot (around 20°C or 68°F) or outdoors where soil warms in spring.
Patience: Seedlings typically emerge as soil warms in spring, often within 3 weeks to 3 months.
