Germination Guide 
  • Sow  indoors from late winter (using UV lights) through to late spring
  • Prepare a small tray of cactus compost mix or a home-made well-draining compost mix
  • Water tray well and allow water to settle/decant.
  • Scatter the seeds over surface and gently press onto soil to ensure a good contact.
  • Do not cover seeds as light needed for germination
  • Lightly mist the tray with water.
  • Cover tray with clear plastic bag to maintain humidity
  • Keep at circa 20-25c (albeit night time temperature can fall to 15c).
  • After germination, increase ventilation to reduce the risk or rot/damping off
  • Slowly accustom seedlings to direct sunlight 
  • Pot on to individual pots once large enough to handle
